I just completed the 3rd project of the summer that required concrete, the first two being a mailbox and a "thermometer" and today's being a clothesline. These were very small concrete pours - each involving fewer than two full bags of Quikrete, but every project winds up being more time consuming than I expect. I'm always happy to have them done.

The clothesline has me disappointed because it's shorter than I had hoped. I stand taller than even its highest lines. That will be a problem if I'm hanging blankets... and maybe if I'm hanging smaller items when the grass is particularly deep. But we bought it (unused) at a garage sale and were taking our chances in exchange for paying close to nothing. No obvious specs were on the box.

It'll still be useful and will save us money every time it's used. But I wish the pole had another foot on it.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
