Re: “If you have spare time you could ... Then we build the shed on top of that.”

When I have spare time, absolutely! That could be a while - especially when you just described something that I really need to build up here! I do need a shed, asap. It doesn't have to be nice. Just something to shelter my smaller equipment for a few years. Very soon, I have to buy a big snowblower ($1,500 or so new but I'm hoping for used) and I have no place to put it.

Aside from the shed, I also need to make more gardens (scrape off grass and retrieve a lot of dirt from the forest), fence the new gardens, make a lot more compost, buy and plant perennials, paint my house (much of the interior is still drywall.) Varnish the doors (some are bare wood.) Add doorknobs. Clean the windows. Uninstall and put away two window air conditioners. Buy a snow blower. Empty boxes that are in the garage. Help the wife with her Airstream remodeling. Prune trees. Assemble a device for containing firewood in the house (next to the wood burning stove.) Cut down trees. Have another bonfire to get rid of old branches. Deal with mosquitoes. Deal with bats. Deal with mice. Get chains for the tractor. Figure out how to swap its bucket for the snowplow blade. Get the trailer's propane tanks filled. Use the camping trailer. Winterize the trailer. Mow, mow, mow. Probably a whole lot more I haven't thought about yet.

Tomorrow, my wife and I may take our flatbed trailer out. She's found someone on Craig's List who is giving away a large number of wood pallets. I could use about 30 - as the floor of a woodshed. It's nice to finally have a way to retrieve them in quantity.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Ya could get some more PIPE of that same size and cut that one, and add another longer piece into it to make it higher. Ya could weld it, braze it, likely solder it, maybe use some JB WELD or sumpin.... You have some options.

If you have spare time you could take a run down my way and install a new large shed for me and especially level the ground where it will go, remove the grass and dig down about 4 inches, spread paving stones in there and then place pavers on top that the 4 x 4 beams will sit on and have to be dead level five across with each other. Then we build a nice floor frame on top of those and top that with 3/4 inch plywood. Then we build the shed on top of that.

Something for a younger whipper snapper to do.... My back would not last fifteen minutes doing this much less the concrete work you have already done!

Great job sir! I am impressed.... Between you and Nemo you both make me tired just reading about what you two are doing! lol!!! Thumbs Up
