Democrats hold 12-point advantage heading into midterm elections, a new NBC News/WSJ poll finds
Six weeks until the midterm elections, 52 percent of voters say they would prefer a Democratically controlled Congress while 40 percent favor the Republicans, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Fifty-nine percent say they would like to see significant change in the direction President Donald Trump is leading the nation.
But the poll also shows that Republican enthusiasm about the upcoming election has increased, drawing nearly even with Democrats.
