I noticed that the clown writing the article said nothing about
the rise of the welfare state - also started under Johnson.
Personally I suspect welfare has cost the U.S. a lot more than
the 'endless wars'.
But repealing Glass Steagall was a HUGE mistake. One, so far,
both the ensuing Presidencies and the congress have failed to
rectify.
Lastly, there are Wars that need fighting. I don't know if Vietnam
was one of them or not . . . but by not prosecuting the War into
North Vietnam . . well, Vietnam is not referred to as a quagmire
for nothing.
I believe the invasion of Iraq was the correct thing to do. I believe
Obozo shoveling an entire U.S. Army into Afghanistan was an
incredibly stupid thing to do. And Libya and Syria are both
good examples of how NOT to overthrow a country. (Both brought
to U.S. by the Obozo administration.)
