Pasco County deputies say a Holiday woman went too far in pursuit of a well-kept home early Tuesday morning.
Holly Jane Akers, 31, of 3159 Jackson Drive, was arrested shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday and charged with one count of felony battery on a person 65 or older. Her husband, Charles Plagens, said Akers attacked him with a vacuum cleaner part, according to a complaint affidavit.
According to the affidavit:
Plagens said he argued with Akers after she started cleaning the house around 3 a.m. Tuesday. He moved from room to room to try to sleep, but she followed him with the vacuum cleaner. Akers struck him on the bridge of the nose with a vacuum cleaner attachment, Plagens told deputies, causing a minor abrasion that did not require medical treatment.
Akers acknowledged the argument, the report said, but denied hitting her husband with the vacuum cleaner part. Because of Plagens' statement and a visible injury, deputies arrested Akers and took her to the Pasco County jail, where she was being held Wednesday without bond.
So, Plagens, who is evidently 65 years of age or older, found himself some much younger tail - 31-year-old Akers. Unfortunately for Plagens, he apparently didn't check out her sanity bona fides before marrying her. Must've done all his thinkin' with his little head, and now, he has a dinged up big head.
