Christine Blasey Ford, a psychologist who has been in therapy herself, told the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday that she has vivid memories of the alleged attack, but not where or exactly when it happened.
In her opening statement, Ford said, "The details that - about that night that bring me here today are the ones I will never forget. They have been seared into my memory and have haunted me episodically as an adult."
Hmmm ... if "the details" are "seared into your memory," Ms. Ford, then please answer these basic questions: (1) where was this house, (2) how did you arrive at this house, (3) who was in attendance at this party, (4) why were the adult owners of this house not there, (5) when did this party occur, (6) how did you get home from the party, and (7) at the tender age of 15, were you in the habit of attending drunken parties at strange houses with groups of boys?
Later, questioned by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Ford explained why she's so sure that a young Brett Kavanaugh was her attacker:
"It's - just basic memory functions," Ford told Feinstein. "And also just the level of norepinephrine and epinephrine in the brain that, sort of, as you know, encodes - that neurotransmitter encodes memories into the hippocampus. And so, the trauma-related experience, then, is kind of locked there, whereas other details kind of drift."
ROTFLMAO! This is simply pathetic psycho-babble that purports to excuse the ridiculous, self-serving presumption that her completely uncorroborated fantasy about Kavanaugh supposedly assaulting her should be believed without question in spite of the undeniable FACTS that she can't remember ANY other detail indelibly seared into her hippocampus, she can't substantiate ANY of her dubious story, and everyone else that was supposedly present has categorically denied that it ever happened. In short, Ms. Ford ... there's nothing there, there ... in your hippocampus or anywhere else, dearie.
One of the details that "drifted" was how Ford managed to get home after what she describes as an almost-rape at the hands of two drunken boys, including a hand over her mouth that could have smothered her.
Ford said that someone must have driven her, but she does not remember who came to her rescue after she fled from her alleged attackers. ...
Oh, "Someone" drove you home, eh? Yeah, "Someone" ... we all know him or her, right?!
Leland Ingham was identified by Ford as being the only other girl at the gathering.
Leland, and the three boys also identified by Ford (Kavanaugh, P.J. Smyth and Mark Judge) have all submitted statements under penalty of felony that they have no memory or knowledge of the party or behavior Ford has described. ...
So, how does Ms. Ford deal with her close friend's statement under oath that she has no memory or knowledge of the party or behavior that Ms. Ford has drawn from The Twilight Zone of her seared hippocampus??? Ms. Ford throws her friend under the bus and calls Ms. Ingham's sanity into question! WOW ... now THAT is a misogynistic attack!
"Leland has significant health challenges, and I'm happy that she's focusing on herself and getting the health treatment that she needs, and she let me know that she needed her lawyer to take care of this for her, and she texted me right afterward with an apology and good wishes, and et cetera, So I'm glad that she's taking care of herself." ...
