Bob Inglis, a Republican believer in climate change, is out to convert his party
Inglis is doubling down on the beliefs that cost him his seat in Congress: Climate change is real, and Republicans must act.

A former Republican congressman believes climate change is real. Can he convince his party?

Bob Inglis, a former South Carolina congressman, lost his seat eight years ago after pronouncing his belief in global warming. Now he's traveling the country to persuade his fellow Republicans to come to grips with climate change. In many cases, these conversations mark the first time that the Republicans who meet with Inglis have heard from a "member of the tribe" on the threats posed by global warming, Inglis said.

While Inglis doesn't convince everyone, he hopes to inspire people to think twice about their long-held beliefs. “If all we do is create that movement, that’s something," he said.
