I am very glad that my sons have graduated and are done with college. In all honesty, I'm really not sure if a college "education" is worth pursuing any longer. The cost for what you get in return is astronomically high - the only degrees that can possibly be worth the cost are in the hard sciences, engineering, mathematics, computer sciences, and some areas of business. Then, there is the leftist indoctrination and the campus kangaroo courts that can make your kid's life a living hell over nothing but being politically incorrect.
I think boys are far better off pursuing skilled trades - carpenter, plumber, welder, electrician, mason, HVAC, mechanic, etc.
