Our first trailer vacation got off to a rocky start. We made it as far as Hartford when the engine began to race. Pretty soon it was obvious that the truck wasn't changing gears as it should. Whoops. 100 miles into a 1,500 mile drive and the transmission is going out?
We checked then added fluid. That helped some but not enough. We threw in the towel on the first place we were going to camp and drove back home.
We'll head out again on Monday with the minivan and no trailer. This changes our plans considerably. No camping... and more time spent with friends and at the Virginia condo than we had planned. Oh well. Life is a crap shoot. You gotta take the bad with the good.
