Naah.
Nothing ominous. Means nothing more than what you
already know - you need new batteries. Kind of like
a flashlight - the battery goes dead and ya replace
it. (Or them.)

Rechargeable batteries will last for years . . . but,
eventually, even they 'die'. Won't take and hold a
good charge anymore . .

It's the nature of the beast. (And why electric cars
are not, in my opinion, a viable means for transportation.)

Thank-you for the suggestion.

I did call Ace Hardware and they referred me to Batteries Plus. I called them and they do carry my brand of cordless rechargeable batteries.

The dense one (that would be me) doesn't know how to get there. I'll find it as I recently got a new GPS. The price is $20 bucks each, plus tax.
