May I pick your brain for a second?
I have a cousin and a friend that want to hike the Grand Canyon from north rim to south rim. I know the north rim closed on Oct. 15th until next May, 2019.
Personally, I would never do that, but whatever floats your boat, on the Colorado River, of course!
They are from out-of-town. I offered to pick them up from the airport, let them hang here for a few days, and drive them to the Grand Canyon.
Have you ever driven from the north rim to the south rim? I am afraid of heights, so if I dropped them off at the north rim, I would have to drive to the south rim by myself. I don't think I can do that. I have a P.P. - panic problem. Actually, it should be called M.P.P. - MAJOR PANIC PROBLEM.
If you have done this route before, would you advise someone like me to drive there? Thank-you in advance.
Ooohhhh, Laughlin is pretty nice for a 2-night visit, maybe 3. You're right on the Colorado River, and they have water taxis for a buck (I think - now maybe $2 bucks) and even if you don't want to get off the water taxi to see other casinos, or do shopping (I just love shopping, bleckkkk), you can use the water taxi to go up and down the Colorado. Recently, there was a pretty bad boating accident almost right in front of where we used to stay. You perhaps read about it? I forget how many people were killed. To ease your mind, a water taxi was not involved. Because it's a mini Vegas, the rooms are less expensive and it is kind of fun. Actually, I loved it!
I also love Phoenix. The honey was contracted there for many months - Valley National Bank, I think. Well, once when I was with this "crew" (being polite) we went to the restaurant below:

Oh, phooey, with being 4 hrs. away! Had it been closer, we could have met up and gossiped about ribit. That is just a joke, as he is one of the funniest people I know.
