No, I have never been to the bottom of the Canyon, but it is a common stop for people who are hiking. Hiking 'Rim-to-Rim" in one day is quite a feat, roughly on the level of a triathlon.

I thought you were the one who was crazy enough to sleep on the bottom.

If you fly this far from the n/e, you might as well get a connecting flight and hang at the pool all day.

Who would want to spend a night DOWN THERE? Ooopps, sorry, YOU for one! I'm sorry, the reservations for the season fill up in an hr or two - FOR THE WHOLE SEASON? OMG

And, yes, the tickets go VERY quickly. We tried one year and I think we later found we had the wrong phone number. So, you would need to verify how to get the reservation.
