I've never had that problem. After a sentence or two, they start talking about themselves and I just have to do THE HILLARY NOD. Such condescending body language. In fairness, however, I don't care for The Donald folding his arms when talking to his cabinet.

I think everyone should tawk to their cabinets!

Some of those old ladies - also known as 'Gray Panthers'
really love to talk about their kids, grandkids, how
many miles they can walk . . and 'oh, by the way, you
really should go and see this' or that . . and one
learns about some other interesting things to go and
see.

omg, how old are they? Nooo, say it ain't so, Joe.
They want to tawk about their kids and grandkids. I have relatives like that. Well, they seem helpful.

Yeah.
Hikers going the same direction tend to get strung
out along the trail - occasionally someone will pass
someone else . . . but such passings usually do not
last long and if you really don't know them what
do you talk about?

But, occasionally, one comes across someone who is
exceptionally gregarious and then some interesting
conversations take place.
