A very brief summary of world populism in the last decades. The 4th stage we are now witnessing.
The Greeks know very well all about populism, two dictatorships in the 20th Century, and a populist socialist prime minister and his party that while having modernized Greece socially, destroyed it financially, with the help of tne right wing which in order to win elections and power, doubled up on the excesses of the socialists.
As a side note, though, the Greeks have conquered their demons, and have recovered with a 3.7% GDP last year, while also absorbing thousands of refugees from Syria, and dealing with it all humanely.
