The Saudis did the wrong thing torturing and killing Koshogi, of course, but he was a MB operative, therefore no loss, whatsoever. He was a bad guy. He was in with the Saudi royals when they were all MB, before it became fashionable not to be MB.
Similar thing happened with Hamas. The Saudi royals openly did fundraisers for Hamas, the Palestinian arm of the MB and a State Dept-designated FTO. Then it was not so fashionable, so they passed Hamas off to Iran. Iran supported them until they took Assad's side in Syria. Now I think they're more friendly again, but the baton may be passed or passing to Turkey. Scoundrels and enemies one and all.
