Harper will be the biggest snowstorm I've experienced in NH. There were bigger storms when I was in Virginia, but they were all the result of many days of snow. What's coming this evening is only going to last a little over 24 hours and is predicted to drop 18 inches. Since I'm considerably higher than the town for which that prediction was made, I'm betting on two feet. The word to describe that will likely be "intense." (I'm sure micro... in Cincinnati... has experienced many bigger storms. If snapits were still here, he'd probably say that he had too. One day, probably before much longer, I'll look back at this storm and yawn. For now, though... it should be an experience.)
`
Here are a couple of "Before" photos I just took of the front yard from indoors. All four trailers and the tractor can be seen. I'll put up something comparable on Monday, when Harper is only a memory.
`
I'm hoping to head out tonight, around midnight, and partially clear the driveway. Tomorrow morning, 9 a.m., four hours of freezing rain are on their way. I won't be able to work in THAT.
