I think it was sold as "A 1% tax on the upper one percent of earners." And that's what it was - for about 0% of its duration.

That was my point. Who would object to a tax that nobody you knew would have to pay? Now it impacts nearly everyone and is a primary tool for social engineering our society.

Statistics show that like 70% of the people have less than $4000 in savings. How long before a wealth tax would consider anyone with $10,000 to be ‘wealthy’?

I'm sure that Pocahontas would put in some exemptions on her Wealth Tax to protect the Little People - such as, not having to pay it if you were ever in Congress.
