Here's the article about Roger Stone's wife. This is written ambiguously, to me anyway, but I'm on drugs.

I said I read she was deaf, but here's the quote:

".......... I was afraid they would go upstairs and my wife was not complying with an order she cannot hear..........."

To me, that sentence does not mean she's deaf.
