I was kinda, sorta teasing about moving.

Don't forget your mother-in-law helped on at least one of the moves.

We stayed in our house way longer than we should have because we didn't want to move.

Now I know why.

It is just such a major pita.

ughhh.

DE, no offense, but I have to get off my leg. This chair is not helping to heal whatever is wrong.

I think it's something just short of a miracle that my moves were all successful and injury free. For me at least. (My wife sprained her foot badly on one of them, which left me having to do the rest of the work by myself. But that's as bad as it got.)

I don't envy any family with a lot of stuff that is trying to move by themselves. It's really hard. But does it make you suicidal? No, no, never that. If it ever started heading in that direction then the answer would be to junk nearly everything, buy a place that's adequate and NEVER MOVE AGAIN. Better than that, though, is to think things through far enough ahead of time that the move doesn't overwhelm. (My last three - which came in quick succession - ALMOST did. Glad to have survived Spring 2017 to Spring 2018.)
