My wife wants to retire to lakefront property and she's lookin' long and hard at property around Grand Lake of the Cherokees in northeastern Oklahoma.

...not a bad idea at all. Retired couples should live in different states.

Not true, sire ... Oklahoma has its uses. As the old joke goes, if it wasn't for Oklahoma, Texas would fall off into the Gulf of Mexico. Why?

Because Oklahoma SUCKS!

Actually, eastern Oklahoma is quite beautiful. Lots of lakes and hilly country. I've found Oklahomans to be consistently decent, friendly people ... when they aren't yellin' "Boomer Sooner," anyway, that is.
