These Democrats And #NeverTrumpers Must Apologize To America For The Russia Collusion Hoax

It’s probably too much to expect that Democrats and the #NeverTrump crowd will apologize to America for the destruction, discord and division they have sown through the hoax that President Trump, his campaign, his family and friends treasonously colluded with Russia to defeat Hillary Clinton.

But in the interest of laying down a marker as to who among the Democrats and their Far-Left allies in the media and culture who owe the country an apology, we offer this list as a starting point.

Not in order of egregiousness or evil intent, but perhaps in order of stupidity:

Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke for saying, at a town hall event at Burke High School in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday morning after the release of the Special Counsel’s Report and the announcement there would be no further indictments.

'You have a president who in my opinion, beyond a shadow of a doubt, sought to, however ham-handedly, collude with the Russian government, a foreign power, to undermine and influence our elections,' O'Rourke said.

'It is beyond the shadow of a doubt that the president once in office sought to obstruct justice,' he continued according to reporting by the UK’s Daily Mail.

Democrat Rep. John Lewis (GA-5) speaking Saturday on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” hosted by Joy Reid, said he still believed President Donald Trump’s impeachment was still inevitable. “I think that day will come,” Lewis said when asked by Reid about impeachment prospects. “I don’t think he’s legitimate. I said it back at the end of the election. I still believe that today.”

Rep. Adam Schiff (CA-28 ) Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, for just a few weeks ago telling CBS's Margaret Brennan on "Face The Nation" that there is "direct evidence" of collusion between the Trump campaign and agents of the Russian government.

"I think there is direct evidence in the e-mails from the Russians through their intermediary offering dirt on Hillary Clinton as part of what is described in writing as the Russian government effort to help elect Donald Trump. They offer that dirt. There is an acceptance of that offer in writing from the president's son Don Jr. and there is overt acts in furtherance of that," Schiff said. "That is the meeting at Trump Tower and all the lies to cover up that meeting at the Trump Tower and apparently lies that the president participated in. That to me is direct evidence but there's also abundant circumstantial evidence."

Alleged Republican “strategist” Ana Navarro-Cardenas, “The intelligence committee has a duty to investigate whether this campaign of Trump’s colluded with Russia… The oversight committee, I think, should do what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is saying they should do, and what you guys are saying: follow the money.”

Bill Kristol, #NeverTrump pundit, founder of the now-defunct Weekly Standard and alleged conservative wunderkind tweeted in August 2018 that special counsel Robert Mueller will likely find “collusion” between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin operatives.

“Lest we lose sight of the forest for the trees: It seems to me likely Mueller will find there was collusion between Trump associates and Putin operatives; that Trump knew about it; and that Trump sought to cover it up and obstruct its investigation,” Kristol tweeted according to reporting by Breitbart's Sean Moran.

Even after Attorney General Bill Barr released his letter exonerating the President, Kristol was still peddling the #NeverTrump line.

Democrat Senator Richard “Da Nang Dick” Blumenthal (D-CT) for going on MSNBC and claiming that the facts and evidence in the Mueller report “are likely to show a lot of criminality, a lot of wrongdoing, and law-breaking” that isn’t indicted.

According to reporting by our friend, Breitbart’s Ian Hanchett, Blumenthal said, “The facts and evidence here are likely to show a lot of criminality, a lot of wrongdoing, and law-breaking that is not indicted here.”

Host Ari Melber asked Blumenthal if he was saying that the 37 indictments that Mueller has issued are a floor, not a ceiling.

Blumenthal answered, “It’s a floor in terms of proof beyond a reasonable doubt and the Department of Justice policy.”

Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-15), who said earlier this week that he believes President Trump colluded with Russia, told MSNBC's "MTP Daily" on Friday afternoon that he will not accept the attorney general's version of the Mueller report "unless its veracity is testified to by Bob Mueller."

"There will be a lot of questions as to whether he was pressured to wrap this up, if there was any political pressure put on him," Swalwell said of special counsel Mueller. "I think the country would benefit from hearing from Bob Mueller and not just taking the attorney general at his word."

And later, “I don’t think I, and most of my colleagues, will accept a report unless its veracity is testified to by Bob Mueller.”

Finally, there’s MSNBC hostess Rachel Maddow. Last July, the MSNBC hostess accused Trump of serving the “interests of another country” following his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin:

For everything that we’ve been through as a country,” she said, “For every kind of trial and challenge and intrigue and embarrassment and scandal that we have been through as a nation, we haven’t ever had to reckon with the possibility that somebody has ascended to the presidency of the United States to serve the interests of another country rather than our own.

Maddow, who as The Daily Caller’s Scott Morefield put it, was barely able to keep it together after the announcement that the investigation had concluded, and the report had been submitted to the Attorney General.

Returning from a fishing trip in Tennessee to broadcast in the wake of news that the newly-released Mueller report will not include an indictment of President Donald Trump, Maddow spent the better part of her Friday night opening segment seemingly on the verge of tears:

Our job tonight—as a country sort of or at least—what everybody in the country is going to be doing tonight is trying to figure out what it means that the report of special counsel Robert Mueller has finally been submitted. We’ve heard it said so many times that it was imminent, that it was done and maybe done and we didn’t know about it. Finally, it’s happened. In terms of what that means and what Mueller found, we know only the smallest little bits. This is the start of something apparently, not the end of something.

Later in the segment, the MSNBC hostess seemed to struggle even more to hold her composure, but she pressed through.

Will these Democrats and their #NeverTrump allies apologize to the country and to President Trump, his family and the many people, like Mark Caputo and Jerry Corsi, whose lives they have rent asunder? We doubt they will. Tucker Carlson has said more than once, decent people apologize when they are wrong. As we see it, none of the people named above can claim a shred of decency, but we should still demand that they apologize.
