JUST DON’T DO IT
Atty Mark Geragos Was Avenatti’s Alleged Co-Conspirator: WSJ

Celebrity lawyer Mark Geragos, who previously represented Michael Jackson and now reps Colin Kaepernick, is the unnamed co-conspirator in the feds’ fraud charges against Michael Avenatti, The Wall Street Journal reports Monday. Two sources told the Journal that Geragos is the man named in the complaint, which alleges that the pair met with Nike executives on March 19 and threatened to release unsavory information if the company didn’t pay out millions in bribes.

The charges against Avenatti came after a law firm, identified by the Journal as Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, alerted federal prosecutors to his alleged extortion attempt and allowed investigators to tape their phone calls with the infamous Stormy Daniels lawyer, who is now in federal custody.
