Re: "And a good price and no mailing the dang things in!!!!!!"
Amazon sells mail-in kits for about 30 bucks more. They aren't any better... maybe not even as good. But many people want the assurance that comes when "a professional" does the tests. They just lack confidence.

These tests were really simple and anyone who isn't color blind can do them. Most just involve putting a strip into the water, or putting water into a tube, then watching to see what color turns up - either on the strip or in the water. The more complicated ones involve shaking a tube, or waiting 5 minutes. Whoa! Scary! The results get compared to a piece of paper that shows various colors and says what they mean.

So, for instance, my "HARDNESS" result of 100ppm might have actually been 80ppm. I don't know since the scale jumps from one color tone (50) to the next (100) with no in-between. It doesn't really matter. My water is too high on that. It's not a big deal, though. Now I know about it, and it's not something that will kill me, so I'll either deal with it or I won't. If it were reporting LEAD or PESTICIDES, I'd be concerned. Fortunately, nothing bad is in my water. (And it tastes great!)

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
