Break out ya skis DE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mount Snow is Vermont's closest major resort to people living in and around most of the Northeast's bustling metro areas making for a short drive to real, big mountain skiing. Founded in 1954 by National Ski & Snowboard Hall of Fame member, Walter Schoenknecht, Mount Snow quickly became one of the most recognizable ski resorts in the world.

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

I just got back from Property #2 where I was meeting with my builder and my excavator. Space needs to be cleared for the wood delivery trucks. The good news is that bar construction is likely to resume within a couple of weeks. Also, my builder actually laughed when I asked whether the barn will take more than a year to complete. "No," he said. "It will be done this year."
`
That's even if it doesn't have electricity. He's quite willing to proceed by using a generator.
`
In other news, I now have a transformer. It isn't yet energized. The utility company will need to make that connection, and that's pending my electrician putting in an external panel with at least 4 circuits to the transformer. The power company will then add a meter and, if everything checks out, run a wire from the installed telephone pole to the street telephone pole.
`
When will I have power? Could be two weeks. Could be three months. Hopefully not three months.
`
I've been planning for the house to be a hundred feet or so uphill of the barn. However, if I go further up, the view improves. In one spot, there's a mountain that comes into view between two nearby hills. One of the guys identified it as "Mt. Snow" in Vermont. If that's what it is, then it's a 40 mile view. An hour and 44 minute drive, believe it or not.
`
Additionally, the higher location takes me to flatter ground. That would save me money in the excavation of the house and would also give me flat terrain for landscaping and gardening. It's significant.
`
I think that's the way to go. It's just a shame that I didn't think of this three weeks ago, before I finalized the septic plan. Now I need to contact the designer to see if there are implications for moving the house and septic tank a hundred yards or further up the hill. At the very least, I'm sure he's going to say that new test pits will have to be dug. I hope he doesn't say that it would require a whole new septic plan.
