This is what intake runners should look like on a healthy engine. Shinny and clean......These heads are off the engine I took out. It just had a bad case of piston slap on startup. From my research the majority of Subaru's have this . Some in little as 15,000 miles. They have fixed this prob on new engines, put a nice coating on the skirts of the pistons. See how shinny they are??

This engine had a 190,000 miles on it..........

These are intake runners. They should be shinny from the gas going down them. This engine is a POS!!!!!!!!!!

Rep[lacement engine tomorrow. He said they would pull the intake and see what really is going on with their low mike engines LOL. We had a good talk today. If I can trust him again we will do more biddness. I think he understands my position now LOL
