Below is a link to a slideshow of the pics I took today. That's a lot easier than posting 17 pics one by one. If you guys are interested, take a look.
`
Things happening include my excavator actively working while I took photos; a major lumber delivery coming in tomorrow - which is why my excavator is working to give the driver enough room that he'll be able to turn around; the panel for temporary electrical has been set up next to the green transformer box; my builder has started building, and my utility company says that as soon as my electrician gives it a thumbs up, the transformer will be energized and I'll have power. My electrician says he should be done with what he needs to do this week or next week. (And I'm confident that means NEXT week.)
`
The little pool of water at the end of the slideshow is one I hadn't seen before. That's because it's only 2 feet deep and has always been dry by the time I've wandered the land in years past. Still, I wonder if it has any potential if it's enlarged, deepened and perhaps lined with plastic? It would be nice to have a little pond so near to the barn... just 100 feet or so.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

I took my wife to see Property #2 today. It's the first time she's been to the field since last year, and there's now a LOT happening. The guy doing my excavation was actively working, and she hiked up the hill to where we *might* put the house. I say "might" because it's not where we originally intended, but it's where we'd now prefer it to be. (We learned a few things over the winter that affected our decision.) There's an issue, though, in that the transformer has already been placed at the bottom of the field and our preferred site is close to the top. It might be too far away for electricity. Hopefully not....
`
I'll post a few still photos later showing the work that's being done. For now, enjoy a short video taken from the top. It was overcast but otherwise really nice.
