...IMHO it is a scheme to get people to pay taxes without knowing how much they are paying. If ya want to reduce taxes eliminate payroll deductions. Make the corporations pay their employees their full amount on payday and then they can move right down to the next desk and write a check for their taxes to the irs guy. If people actually realized how much they pay in taxes there would be a revolution.

Thank you. Zimbler did not bother me and in the event that my reply could be misconstrued, that was not my intent.

You said The "fair tax" plan is not about taxation so much as it is about adding even more taxes and making things ever more expensive that we actually need and sometimes, we simply just want to buy. I am sorry - that is the furthest thing from the truth. Getting the IRS out of your business and out of everyone's pocket is exactly what we need.

You said I feel for the younger generations.. and I do to and also suspect I am the younger generation as it applies to this board. That is the reason I bring up these subjects and while they may seem like a stretch - I bet I am closer to the truth than I am away from it, or at least think so.

Now is the time to find out!!
