The 2019 garlic and shallot harvest is a wrap. The early garlic I grow, a turban called Thia Fire, has finished curing and they are now trimmed up hanging in the basement with a few are in the kitchen now. I have a pot roast (the Mississippi mud recipe) going so I will clean a head and throw the cloves on in. In the bottom pic are my Grey Griselle shallots and the other garlics finishing curing in onion bags. A couple good weeks and I will be cleaning the rest of the garlic and shallots.
