Why?

Because besides the issue of you g people trying to get an education getting saddled with exorbitant amounts of debt, they will have a hard time repaying, many cannot go to college because they can’t even qualify for loans, etc., so the environment that fueled America’s progress after WWII, free and/or cheap college is non existent. How are we going to lead in innovation when many cannot get in the door because of the high costs of college. We’ll import others from abroad?

We need a NATIONAL push for affordable college education at the state level, so long as one maintains good grades and graduates.

Nearly unchecked capitalism has brought us to this point along with politicians who only care about being reelected and not about doing things for America that will keep us at the forefront of competitiveness. The college costs issue is not a standalone, there are reasons why all these things have gone out of whack, like the cost of drugs, health insurance, etc., all of the driving each other to higher costs in an out of control environment.

The failure is ours. If we cannot sit down and discuss and resolve issues, instead party politics and idealism taking over, we’ll only go down further. We are losing control of our lives in this country.........
