And now, here we are again, just another year, with the same city, state and people, with the very same water problems they have had for a long time.
Let's see. The land there is BELOW sea level. (That COULD be a problem) Then there is this really large tidal LAKE right next to the city. No worries there as it overflows onto land below sea level right?
Then, the city is built right next to the LARGEST RIVER in North America which carries over HALF of the runoff water of the UNited States wearever it rains or snows....
or urricanes, tropical storms, severe thunderstorms may drop their vokumes of water.
How long has this been going on?
Ever since New Orleans became a town and then a city.
Cal me callous but somehow I simply cannot get excited about a place where one SHOULD EXPECT to FLOOD regularly every single year and every time it rains or has bunches of rain dropped on it because IT IS BELOW SEA LEVEL and has no place to really drain to...
So, what's the solution to this terrible problem every single year?
BULLDOZE THE ENTIRE CITY. Pass a FEDERAL LAW that prohibits building cities on land below sea level and surrounded by HUGE RIVERS and Inland Sea called a Lake.
Build on HIGHER elevation ground....
WHY would ANYONE want to be a resident of an underwater, below sa level commuity that floods annually?
This fits the very definition of insanity....
