Retailer Avenue to close in Bakersfield

The clothing store Avenue is closing shop across the country, including its store in South Bakersfield.

Avenue is currently located 3739 Ming Ave. west of the Valley Plaza Mall.

The store is having a liquidation sale, and will shut its doors once everything is sold or the corporate office begins the liquidation process.

Any employee says Avenue did not give a reason for the closure.
