Shed? That's ridiculous. It includes a bathroom and kitchen. What sort of shed has both electricity and plumbing?

This is a great example of misdirection. The problem isn't with the unit. The problem is that San Diego is overcrowded and has far more unskilled people than starter jobs. The landlord wouldn't be able to find a tenant who would pay $1,050 for a 200 square foot studio if the market hadn't driven the prices to that level. Supply and demand. Real estate prices in San Diego are sky high today because too many people insist on being there despite the price of lodging. The question that needs to be asked is, why aren't people leaving??
