One could simply take all those plastic trash bags, melt them into liguid and make plastic bricks out of them. Send the bricks to Central Americans and African viollages to make housing out of. Plastic bricks last doggone near forever. They are impervious to rot and decay and can even be spray painted if ya like...

Just a thought to doing something constructive with all the plastic loking for a place to be re-used and fished out of the oceans..

Re: "I find it amazing that the climate alarmists avoid these two elephants yet claim to "care about the environment.""
I don't agree with that premise. I've heard a lot about plastic in the oceans. I also know that an effort is being made, mostly by leftists, to ban plastic straws and plastic bags. (I bought several thousand plastic bags in 2019 in preparation for their eventual disappearance. See the links below. ) So I'm not sure why you say that the issue is being avoided.

I agree that ocean plastic is a huge problem. But I need bags. I don't agree that deprivation is the solution to the world's problems. Technology is the answer. We should push hard to develop nanobots that eat pollutants. I think we could make major inroads on that within 15 years.
