With all due respect, we can agree to disagree then as the climate alarmists are, to use a crude analogy - stepping over $100 bills to pick up pennies by banning plastic grocery bags and straws and not applying their "how dare you" anger towards cleaning up our oceans. As we know - talk is cheap - yet the oceans are being polluted at an astonishing daily rate and we need to clean that mess up first - imho. My point is our oceans are far more valuable than planting trees - which is important and as I already stated commendable. I also agree with your choice of trees and your trees will be here long after we are all gone. Perhaps you are a member of www.acf.org/ ??
Regarding AI (nanobots) as the solution for pollution - that is a slippery slope towards opening Pandora's box - enzymes might be a better solution? Regarding this conversation Steven Hawking posthumously published "Brief Answers To The Big Questions" and I find it paradoxical that he stated " If robots don't get us, climate change will."
As a sci-fi fan - "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" so do you really need those plastic bags IF you substitute them with a canvas bag or other suitable option?
