Kobe was influential. He helped thousands of inner city youths do nothing whatsoever in school and instead daydream about bouncing a ball. That made him a role model for Democrats.

Yeah ... I wish no harm on this man or his family ... but all I could think of when I heard the news, this weekend, was "why should Kobe Bryant's untimely death be any more tragic than anyone else's, eh?" The reaction splashing across the U.S. media to his death seems unjustifiably over-the-top to me. I'd say the concurrent death of his 13-year-old daughter is more tragic than his.
