Re: "This Time I’m Scared!"Don't be scared, Big Guy. 65 million is an estimate of the number of people killed by the Great Influenza (1918 - 1920). They probably just reused that number, claiming that a coronavirus today could be similarly catastrophic. (In fact, the world population was 1.8 billion in 1918 and is more than 4 times that today, so I'm surprised they didn't come up with a figure closer to 250 million).

In any case, don't be afraid. Just buy a few months' worth of food in the near future. If you start hearing that the coronavirus is popping up in your neck of the woods, become a hermit, stop bringing in loose women and stay on your land until the disease passes. In 1918, two thirds of the world's influenza deaths happened in just 24 weeks. More than half of those occurred in even less time, from mid-September to early December. If that same pattern holds, then your risk will be greatly reduced if you can hole up for just three months.
