...when people prove conclusively to me that they are totally worthless and without any possibility of ever showing any improvement I write em off my "list of the living" and disassociate myself from them. I have done this with friends and relatives who have gone the way of drugs and alcohol. Once they are removed from that list there is no way for em to get back because I don't even acknowledge their existence. I won't follow them into their destructive practices and they won't abstain from destructive behavior.
