Maybe 'Peak Stupidity' has now happened and things will start getting better. But I wouldn't count on it.

Arizona state lawmakers propose bill to bar biological males from competing in female sports at schools

Twenty-three Arizona House Republicans have co-sponsored a bill that would prohibit biological males from participating in girls' or women's sports at grade schools, community colleges, and state universities.

Rep. Nancy Barto (R-15) announced the bill, called the "Save Women's Sports Act," on Friday.

"Female student athletes should not be forced to compete in a sport against biological males, who possess inherent physiological advantages," Barto said in a statement. "When this is allowed, it discourages female participation in athletics and, worse, it can result in women and girls being denied crucial educational and financial opportunities."

At least seven other states have proposed similar legislation.

The Alliance Defending Freedom and the Center for Arizona Policy are working with Barto to promote the Arizona bill. The ADF also represents young female athletes in Connecticut, who say biological males participating in girls' track-and-field events have edged them out of medal positions and spots in higher-level events. The ADF says the girls also have lost advantages in considerations for college scholarships.

Barto cited the incidents in Connecticut as evidence of the need for Arizona's Save Women's Sports Act.
