Our daughter-in-law and granddaughter live in Texas, which is not as 'enlightened' when it comes some things. Granted, they live near Houston, what with the oil industry, it's a bit more cosmopolitanism than say Dallas or Lubbock.
We've several blended families, Nieces, nephews, Philippines, Japan, Korea, so far the garbage hasn't affected them as far as I know, but its out there..
What worries me more are the Evangelicals, blindly going along with this mess... "Ah, our daughter "Xxxxx" is out of school, will gladly babysit for so much an hour..." Naivety runs rampant I guess...
