Hillary and Bill Clinton feed Westchester hospital staffs

On a day when St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers was hit hardest in weeks, nurses, doctors and staff received an unexpected surprise at dinner time.
"I got a call from security saying there were pizzas outside and it says they're from the Clintons," said Lorraine Horgan, vice president of external affairs at St. Joseph's. "I thought he was joking."
Then she looked at the ripped-off receipt and read the note: "Thank you for taking care of the community. From Bill and Hillary Clinton."
The Clintons, who live in Chappaqua, had pizzas delivered to hospitals in Westchester County on Wednesday, including White Plains Hospital.
"Thank you for protecting our communities. From Bill and Hillary Clinton," read the note sent to the White Plains Hospital staff, said Mary Cronin of Harrison-Edwards PR.
A surprise delivery of 20 pies arrived Tuesday evening at Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla from Dom & Vinnie’s Pizzeria in White Plains. The receipt read: "Thank you for helping the community! Bill & Hillary Clinton."
“The impromptu pizza party for our frontline caregivers was a tremendous surprise and was greatly appreciated by all,” said Connie Cornell, spokesperson for Blythedale, which cares for medically complex infants and children. “The Clintons have always been good neighbors, and their kindness during a tremendously difficult time for health care workers truly boosted everyone’s spirit.”
At St. Joseph's, Horgan said the staff made the Clintons honorary workers.
"It was wild. The staff didn't believe it either," she said. "But they were truly honored to have pizzas from the Clintons. I wish you could see everyone's faces ... It was on a tough day where we saw a lot of sick people."
"The people at St. Joseph's chose to work here because everyone loves to provide care for people who need us," Horgan said. Today, "the Clintons took care of us."
