Re: "With her age . . and decades of alcohol abuse . . . She might not survive her date with the Corona-Virus."
True. Most people DO survive it, but the odds are dramatically worse for both drunks and septuagenarians. clo's biggest concern should be that if she IS one of the unfortunate few who get it in their lungs, she'll need hospitalization but those in her area will not be admitting new patients. I expect to see some NYC hospitals fully booked in just a few days.

What are the odds that she'll catch COVID-19 while her hospitals are in that state? Pretty good. In spite of the high odds that NYC will hit peak deaths (~ 75,000 per day) within three weeks, the disease itself will be rampant in her area for the next three months. I don't believe clo has anywhere near three months' worth of food stockpiled. If she goes out for food without a P100 mask, there's an excellent chance she'll be sucking down viruses. She only lives about 35 miles from the city after all, and there are probably hundreds of undiagnosed COVID-19 transmitters in Mahopac by now.

Truth be told, the one I'm feeling sorry for is clo's mother. She's vulnerable too. If her liver is healthy, her chances are better than clo's. (Is your Mom like you in that respect, clo? My guess is not since she's 86 or 87 and probably wouldn't have made it that long if she had a drinking problem.)
