It was four weeks ago today, that my wife and I, for all intents and purposes, started our stay-at-home regime. We had gone to Mass like normal on Sunday, March 15th and we were planning to attend a Lenten service Monday evening (my wife and I had helped put the service together and I was going to be one of the scripture readers as well as handing the sound board/music for the service). Anyway, that morning, Monday, March 16th, the Diocese of Orange announced that all church services except Sunday Masses were suspended. And then on Thursday, the 19th, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced his state-wide, stay-at-home policy.
Since then, we've only gone out for groceries, once to fill-up my car (I had just filled-up my wife's car the previous Friday) and once to my doctor for a non-virus related issue (but I did get a surgical mask during the visit) and once to the pet store for cat food and litter. Now my wife wants to go to Home Depot to get stuff for her backyard garden so we might do that one day this week.
