Actually Captain,
Reagan proposed the 'Star Wars' thingie. And the spin-offs from
trying to develop computers small enough and light enough to put
on missiles and rockets sparked a revolution that led to todays
PC's, PLC's, and other techno-widgets. Many of which enabled
machinery to do some of the 'drudge work' for us.

Heck we have had laser sats in the skys. Remember star wars program I think it was Reagan was suppose to get rid of them BUT didnt from what I remember....
