This Is a 'Closed Issue': Pelosi Turns on the Spin to Protect Creepy Joe

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Tuesday said Tara Reade's sexual assault allegations against former Vice President Joe Biden are "case closed."
"I have said I'm proud to support Joe Biden for president. I believed him when he says [the sexual assault] didn't happen. But I also believe him when he said let them look into the records and that's what they should do," the speaker said during an interview on MSNBC. "But I'm not going to answer this question again. I will just say I have every confidence that Joe Biden will be a great President of the United States, not only because of the person of integrity that he is but the person of vision that he is for just some of the things you talked about."
Specifically, Pelosi said she supports the former vice president because of his desire to expand the Affordable Care Act, ensure that Americans have job security and other "kitchen table issues."
"Joe Biden is Joe," she said with a smile. "And again, he brings those values and his personal experience to a vision for America that is about family and fairness and not trickle-down economics but bubble up from the kitchen table from working families in our country."
Pelosi doesn't want to get to the bottom of Reade's allegations because it's easier for her to ignore and act as though they're not there. Multiple people – all Democrats – have come forward to corroborate Reade's allegations. There's also the clip from the 1990s when Reade's mother called into Larry King's show to ask for advice about how to handle this issue.
The way the Democrats and the media are handling Tara Reade's allegations are shameful. They're giving her the same shameful treatment they gave Juanita Broaddrick when she accused Bill Clinton of rape. Instead of "believe women" their motto should be "protect men," even if those men carried out heinous acts.
