Not to be paranoid or anything, but please keep in mind that Burr is the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee which just released its report that Russia did indeed interfere in the 2016 election to the benefit of Trump and the detriment of Hillary. If the FBI can show that he's broken the law, Trump and his supporters could use that to undermine the Intelligence Committee's work by implying that he's been a corrupt elected official with his own agenda for doing what he's done, and may even try and link that to his work on the Intel Committee.
