I guess that's enough to put THAT myth to bed.

Now, here's something for YOU to refute: Saying something like that about a person when it isn't true and can easily be shown to be untrue is REALLY uncool. In fact, there's a name for people who do that, but I'm going to be nice and not use it.

I might even be at the top. I admitted that I was wrong about hydroxychloroquine fairly recently.

Aside from that, your suggestion is unreasonable. An honest person doesn't state a fact he thinks is wrong. He states it if he thinks it's true. As such, he isn't going to further fact check his own material. But if his facts are wrong, there's usually someone more knowledgeable on the subject who will point that out. If no one does, then the whole board turns to mush. It's what happened to Pffart3 when clo started evicting everyone who made her feel stupid. At this point, she could post that she's the Flying Nun and no one would call her on it. Of course, no one cares about her board anymore either. She runs a board for idiots.
