I am a mechanical engineer with a masters. I possess other actual degrees beyond that and I practiced engineering for the largets machine tool manufacturing company in the world. Yes, I know what a fact is versus a view.

I also know that facts will differ o vary based uponthe viewpoint that is being stated.. So it is fluid.

A lot of what Nemo posts is not rooted in facts and in this covid-19 stuff there seems to be evry little actual facts that ever hold up fpr mre than a day or two before being shown to be not factual. At least that is how I see it.

So while I see it as a hystericaly overblown for the purpose of the government taking over Unconstitutional dictatorial control of citizens lives, others see this as the end of the world. The numbers seem to be fluid as well and the hyped sky highy deaths and people that caught it seemto be changing every other day depending on which doctor one reads or listens to.

So that is why we don;t have to agree. I see it one way and you are fine to see it another way. I really have not seen any so called FACTS that are accurate yet. They ALL have chabnged and continue to do so..

WHAT I do know is that younger adults have almost no issue with this virus , children for most part do not even get it, and middle aged people do not seem to be troubled by it. So people my age and Ribs and DGP are the group that can get it and some of that group can have a rough flu illness. My imune system is pretty high and potent so I do not worry about this stuff.
the vast majority of Americans should not be worried either. It is tose with underlying bad conditions that weaken the immune systems that we need to worry about .

Do we close an entire economy and nation down because of an extremely tiny percentage point of the population???

So what if younger people and middle ae people test positive. They will now develop immunity from thei rown wntibodies. Te symptoms will not be severe either according to the reports I have reaad in that age group..

SO to me, this is a HOAX to take over power and make the sheeple be obedient little sheep and become test subjects for Fauci and other evil cretins like Bill Gates...

I will figt though to defend your right and freedom to disagree and have your own viewpoint about it.

We can disagree about how we see this.. No problems at all. It's all good .

Discussion is always a good thing. How boring things would be if we all agreed abot things all the time....

You used the word "view" repeatedly in your post. You do know the difference between a view and a fact, right? I don't correct views. They are opinion. Opinions can be challenged but they can't be corrected.

Facts are different. When President Trump referred to the influenza outbreak of 1917, he was wrong. The outbreak was in 1918. That is irrefutable. It is a fact. That's the only type of correction I try to make, a correction of incorrect facts. Incorrect views? There is no such thing. Views are always correct. They are what a person believes. They aren't false.

One of the most common complaints I had with the Pffart3 board was its consistent lack of interest in the truth. Truth is neither Left nor Right. It is rooted in reality, not in political leanings. The truth has always served me well, and if getting to the truth involves correcting the post of someone who is traditionally conservative, I'll do it - just as I would with the post of someone who is traditionally liberal. The fact that most of those corrections are aimed at liberals merely has to do with the fact that conservatives care more about the truth and try to make their posts truthful. Or so I thought until now, anyway.

It bothers me to hear you say that you are supportive or tolerant of falsehoods when conservatives are the ones uttering them but not when it's liberals who are posting them. Nothing good can come of that, micro. As I said earlier, silence in the face of a known lie is tantamount to supporting the lie. We should try hard to remain above that. What traditionally makes conservatives better than liberals is that they do care about honesty, morality and truth.
