...come to think of it, I haven't had a cold, or the flu or anything else that wasn't associated with kids, grandkids or back when I was working somebody with a sick kid at home coming to work.

...I had a boss once who was "proud" that he had not taken a sick day in his 30 year career. People around him was dropping like flies.

If only it was so simple.

There is an experiment in which one school kid has an invisible compound put on his hands. By the end of the day, a black light shows the compound to be everywhere - all over his face, his desk, his friends and his friends' desks. Even the teacher, who had tried to avoid it, had it on her face.

The virus lives on surfaces for up to nine days. What you need to do is to avoid every place with kids or where kids have been in the last few days. It's not so easy.
