What I've seen so far is that Zorin is another
Linux Varient.
I have found a 'Cinnamon Mint' Linux varient that I
am very happy with. It looks and acts a lot like
windows - GUI type interface. On the version that I
am using when I click on equivalent to the windows
thingie in the bottom left, I get the 'start menu'
and there is a button in there for 'software management'.
Once I got the box on the internet I just click on
that button and I get a screen where I can download
tons of games, utilities, programming tools etc. etc. etc.
Unfortunately that 'Wine', while listed, does not seem
to be there.
I got the Linux FREE. I got all that software free. I got
a decent Python programming environment free. The Open
Office (mostly equivalent to microsloth office) programs
came with the Linux Mint.
And, I was able to salvage two 'E-Scrap' pretty nice
computers from my employers 'garbage' pile. All I gotta
do now is figure out how to fit one of them onto my desk
and migrate away from microsloth.
One fault with this Linux? I can use USB sticks to move
things between the Linux Box and windows . . . But I had
BETTER tell Linux to 'eject' the USB else it messes up
the directories . . .
And, Open Office will open microsoft office files. Including
my old Visio files.
I do not see any show stoppers to going to Linux.
