Good morning sirs Ribit and Beldin!

I just started reading and began here as I was confident that you guys would share your knowledge and experience in weaponry for civilians.

Ribit's notation about trying to avoid gunfights at close quareters or ANY distance is and should be the standard for self defense. BUT, when the thugs do not allow you to avoid it then one had best be ready to use what you have a your disposal or your name will become a blot in the nals of history and we will be seeing you at the cemetary.

THAT is what I am looking at. I have enough close quarters firepower between the 15 round 9 mm hollow point 147 grain rounds and the 12 gage, 16 inch barrel pump shotgun..

If these storm trooping renegade looters and rioters want to come out to assault the peaceful folks out here in far out suburbia , that is my main concern as to numbers of potential criminal tyes trying to destroy and pillage everything I worked an entire lifetime to provide my wife security at our ages now..

I would prefer having to take care of things from a farther distance than up close.

That said, the AR 15 is good from 300 yards and closer.

I am thinking 100 -200 feet... I will want to spray lead.. Like in some former days except even then it was one squeeze and one round fired against an enemy who had AK 47s firing at us.. A bit unfair imo...


QUESTION.
Since the AR style will still be one squeeze, one round fired , and we are far less than 300 yards, but I still want larger magazines, is there another rifle type that I might look at???

I also noticed that gun prices seem to be lower than last time I looked at them...

My wife is taking me to Home Depot for a Hole Saw and then to Target to get my new phone operational from my old phone. I am with consumer cellular and Targets cell phone area services my carrier so I canget them to transfer my old phone to my new one. I want a larger micro SD xc1 digital media card as well. SO I will buy thatwhile there...

It is good to be able to get some fresh air and walk a little. Emphaasis on little.... Swelling is still an issue.. Pain is still an issue. Therapy at 2:00 p.m. today. That will be an issue as well.... lol!!!!!!

The older I get the less I enjoy the pain.
